It’s the end of summer and it’s still hotter than it needs to be, why not cool off with some super easy to make watermelon ice cream? Four ingredients and ready in about four hours, this tasty treat is a must have on hot summer days!

To make your ice cream all you need is a Oster 006640-BG3-N01 Simple Blend 100 10 Speed Blender with Blend and Go Cup, White“>blender and pan to put your creation in to freeze! A measuring cup and measuring spoons will also come in handy when measuring out your ingredients, which brings me to the recipe!

Ingredients:

2 cups watermelon (take out the seeds)

2 cups milk

2 tablespoons sugar

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe:

Blend together ingredients until smooth, place into pan and pop into the freezer. Freeze for 3 to 4 hours until the liquid has solidified. Serve with whipped cream and sprinkles and enjoy!

The only thing I would do differently would be to line my pan with parchment paper and then cut into slices rather than try and scoop it out. I’m not sure if it’s our freezer temperature but I struggled to scoop out the ice cream with out warming up my spoon. Also would love to try this in popsicle form, as well as maybe ice cube size for smoothies.

Either way the flavor is delightful, it’s smooth and creamy with a taste of vanilla and watermelon and the color is adorable! I’d love to try this with bananas as well, so stay tuned for more variations as summer continues!
